SQUIRRELS
Three squirrels
came over the hill,
I didn’t see them at first,
And then I didn’t see them again.
They weren’t there at all today,
I could tell by the way they were staring at me.
Sometimes I feel
really ill,
And my mouth is dry with thirst.
I had a drink but the hunger pains
Were enough to make me sway,
And the squirrels went off for a trip by the sea.
Be
quiet people, keep still,
And move about ‘til you burst.
Some people try to say I’m insane,
But the squirrels have their day.
With their nuts and their madness they’ll always be
free.
